GMB North Lanarkshire branch are proud to be working in partnership with CABIA (Counselling and Benefits in Action) in Airdrie to provide additional support for our members.

Following a recent member survey, many members told us they did not feel they were receiving the mental health support they needed in the workplace. In response, GMB North Lanarkshire branch have partnered with CABIA to help ensure members have access to confidential, professional support when they need it most all they ask for is a small donation of whatever you can afford.

For over 20 years, CABIA has provided vital services across the local community, including confidential counselling, expert welfare benefits advice, representation at appeals, and a range of community wellbeing initiatives. Through its welcoming community café, social groups, lending library and community garden, CABIA helps tackle isolation and provides a safe, supportive environment for people facing financial hardship, poor mental health or personal challenges.

This partnership reflects GMB North Lanarkshire branches ongoing commitment to listening to our members and taking meaningful action to improve their wellbeing, both inside and outside the workplace. Together with CABIA, we are helping ensure our members have access to the support they deserve.
